PARIS, May 30 (Xinhuanet) -- French President Jacques Chirac will announce Tuesday "his decisions concerning the government" before making a televised address to the nation, his office said Monday.

Chirac's office also confirmed that Chirac had met with Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin on Monday morning, after the French voters rejected the European Union (EU) constitution treaty.

He also talked with the president of his party, Union for a Popular Movement, Nicolas Sarkozy, Union for French Democracy chief Francois Bayrou, as well as Interior Minister Dominique de Villepin, Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie, Health Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy and Social Affairs Minister Jean-Louis Borloo.

After meeting with the French president early Monday, Raffarin said there would be "developments" on Monday or Tuesday. Enditem
