ĦĦRAMALLAH, May 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Foreign Minister Nasser Al-Qedwa will focus on the issue of Israeli separation wall during the Euro-Mediterranean partnership convention, a senior Palestinian official said Sunday.
Foreign Minister Nasser Al-Qedwa will attend the meeting and raised the issue, the ministry's undersecretary Abdullah Abdullah told the "Voice of Palestine" radio.
He, however, noted that the wall issue would not be central at the convention that is launched Sunday in Luxemburg in light of a Palestinian active participation.
Abdullah said that the Euro-Mediterranean partnership conventionwill discuss the entire political issues in the region.
"The foreign ministers are going to join three meetings. the first is on the level of economic cooperation that was labeled by the EU the work plan for the wall policy," he said.
"The second issue to be discussed by the Foreign Ministers is related to the contacts they bilaterally hold, while the third and most important meeting is a dinner to be held on May 30, during which each minister will address a speech explaining the situation of his country," he added.
Therefore, the wall issue is not discussed independently, said Abdullah, stressing that the Palestinian foreign minister will definitely focus on the issue and the Israeli challenge of the international legitimacy when talking about the general Palestiniansituation.
Meanwhile, Abdullah noted that the partnership agreement is a completion to Barcelona covenant that was signed ten years ago, which set up the bases for cooperation between the EU countries andthe Mediterranean countries including the PNA. Enditem
