KABUL, May 29 (Xinhuanet) -- An Afghan independent TV station broadcast on Sunday a video of the Italian aid worker, Clementina Cantoni, who was kidnapped by gunmen about two weeks ago in Afghancapital Kabul.

The 32-year-old Clementina, kidnapped on May 16, was pale in the scarf and flanked by two masked men who pointed her with weapons in the video.

She mentioned the names of herself and some of her close relatives, but she made a mistake when she mentioned the date of May 28 as Sunday.

Tolo TV did not tell where and how the video came from.

Another local radio station Radio Liberty said Clementina was not good in her heath, with the symptom of often spewing, eating very little and decreased eyesight.

Clementina, working for the aid agency of CARE International, has been working in Afghanistan for three years. Two weeks passed after the kidnapping, the identity and the place of the kidnapper still remain a mystery.

Afghan government has called for the unity activities of all the people in Afghanistan, including the Italian and US government, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and coalition, as well as religious and community leaders, for the safe release of the Italian lady.

Afghan religious leaders issued Friday a fatwa, or religious decree, calling for the release of Clementina. The fatwa said Afghanistan would protect the lives, properties, esteems and prestige of any foreigner legally enter the country, and the murderers would be sentenced to death if they killed those persons.

The Afghan government Thursday accused the Italian embassy of "meddling" in its efforts to free the aid worker. An official said the Italian embassy had made contact with the alleged kidnappers, and insisted that all such contacts should be made through one channel, the Afghan channel, otherwise it is no good for the safe release of the lady.
