GAZA, May 29 (Xinhuanet) -- A senior member of the Fatah movement affirmed that Fatah and the Islamic resistance movement Hamas had agreed to hold a bilateral meeting later Sunday, Palestinian daily Al Ayyam reported.
Abdul Rahman Hamad of Fatah's Revolutionary Council said the two movements will discuss their comments on the second round of the municipal elections and the court decisions on re-voting in some ballot stations.
Two basic points are expected on Sunday's meeting agenda, which are to express the views on the whole election process and set up specific criteria and mechanisms to secure honest and free elections in the next elections, said the report.
He explained that it is necessary for both movements to agree on the independence of the judiciary system and the court decisions. Enditem |
