JAKARTA, May 27 (Xinhuanet) -- The Indonesian government on Friday ruled out the possibility that an Australian woman who was sentenced to 20 years in jail for drug trafficking might serve her jail term in Australia.

On transfer of the Australian woman, Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman Marty Natalegawa told a press conference here that Indonesia and Australia have no such agreement.

"Calls are mounting in Australia about the transfer. But the Foreign Affairs Ministry never received Australia's official proposal about the agreement on the transfer of sentenced person,"he said.

A district court on the resort island of Bali earlier in the day found Schapelle Leigh Corby, an Australian citizen, guilty of smuggling 4.2 kg of marijuana to Indonesia and rendered her a 20-year imprisonment.

Even if Australia proposed for transfer of prisoners, "it should be general and not specifically designed for Corby," Marty said. Enditem
