PRAGUE, May 19 (Xinhuanet) -- The Czech Republic once again offered training of police to Iraq, Interior Minister Frantisek Bublan said after meeting with Iraqi ambassador Dhia Mahmoud Dabason Thursday.

Bublan said that he wanted to discuss the offer with his Iraqi counterpart Bayan Baqir Jabr Sulagh whom he invited to visit Prague.

"I have offered to the ambassador to conduct a long-term training of several dozen Iraqi police instructors here," Bublan said.

At present, 10 Czech police are training Iraqi students in Amman. Along with them, the instruction is provided by several hundreds of instructors from other countries from Europe and America.

Bublan said that the Czech Republic considered as one of the alternative the continuation of professional preparation of Iraqis in Jordan next year, although the project was originally scheduled to end this year.

He said that the Iraqi ambassador had informed him about another alternative - moving the training to southern Iraq, probably Basra. Enditem
