BEIJING, May 11 -- Song of Everlasting Sorrow, a play adapted from famous writer Wang Anyi's novel of the same title, won the top prize of 2004 Shanghai Drama Awards.

    Another drama, Life like a Dog, known as the first "body-language drama" in China, won the best small theatre drama in Shanghai.

    Hao Ping and Zhu Yin won respectively Best Actor and Actress.

    The award for best New Artist Awards went to Wang Yong and Sun Ningfang.
