Two small blasts hit outside British consulate in New York

    NEW YORK, May 5 (Xinhuanet) -- Two small blasts hit outside the British consulate in New York on Thursday, causing no casualties, police said.

    The explosions, which occurred about 3:50 a.m. (0750 GMT), were caused by improvised explosive devices.

    Some windows of the building were shattered by the explosions and there was no damage to the structure of the building.
