Explosion hits outside British consulate in New York

    NEW YORK, May 5 (Xinhuanet) -- An explosion hit outside the British consulate in New York on Thursday, shattering some windows. CNN reported.

    The blast occurred early in the morning and police were investigating, CNN said.

    Police said it was a small explosion and there was no significant damage or injures, CNN said. Enditem
