BEIJING, May 4 --The explosion happened in Mogadishu on Tuesday as Somalia's Prime Minister was addressing a rally in the capital.
Somalia's Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Ghedi says a recent bomb blast in Mogadishu will not affect the process of the cabinet moving back from Kenya.
The explosion happened on Tuesday as the Prime Minister was addressing a rally in the capital, killing 27 people and wounding dozens.
Ghedi was unhurt in the explosion and says it will not stop him restoring order to the war-torn country.
A number of militant groups are still destabilizing the situation in Somalia, by resisting peacekeeping forces and opposing the government's return.
Ghedi came back to Mogadishu from the Kenyan capital Nairobi last Friday to assess the security situation and to prepare for the return of the government.
The transitional government, created at reconciliation talks in neighboring Kenya, is striving to ending the civil war that broke out in 1991.
