LOME, May 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Faure Gnassingbe, the son of Togo's late president Gnassingbe Eyadema, was Tuesday formally declared winner of the presidential polls by the constitutional court.
Faure took 60 percent of the ballots in the election on April 24, winning 1.3 million votes. Main opposition candidate Bob Akitani took 38 percent, or 841,000 votes, according to the electoral commission. Enditem
