WELLINGTON, May 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A former Iraqi diplomat for Saddam Hussein's regime who had been seeking refugee status here was asked to leave New Zealand, said Immigration Minister Paul Swain Monday.
Swain said the unnamed man's visitor permit had been revoked.
The man and his wife visited New Zealand in 2004 and subsequently applied for residency, said Swain.
Swain said they were "unsuitable" to stay in the country and were asked to leave "as soon as possible." Enditem
