BEIJING, May 1 -- Three assailants died following separate incidents in Cairo which target people near a popular museum and a bus in the south of the city.
One man and two women, all assailants, have died following separate incidents in Cairo, targeting people near a popular museum and a bus in the south of the city.
Seven people were wounded in the attacks, including two Israelis.
The man who blew himself up is said to be a fugitive member of the group which planned an April 7 bombing that killed three tourists in a Cairo bazaar.
The two veiled woman have been identified by the Interior Ministry as the bomber's sister, who committed suicide and his girlfriend, who died in hospital of her wounds.
Meanwhile, an Islamist group has claimed responsibility on the Internet for the twin attacks, allegedly in revenge for the deaths of those who carried out bombings last year in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
