    CAIRO, April 30 (Xinhuanet) -- An Islamist group claimed on theInternet the responsibility to twin attacks occurred Saturdayafternoon in Cairo, which killed three people and injured at leastseven others.

    In the website statement, the group calling itself the Brigadesof the Martyr Abdullah Azzam said the attacks were in revenge forthe deaths of those who carried out bombings last year in Egypt'sSinai Peninsula and for the subsequent arrests of thousands ofpeople.

    However, the statement's authenticity could not be verified.The first blast Saturday took place near Egyptian Museum indowntown, killing one person and wounding at least seven includingfour foreigners.

    Less than two hours of the first blast, the second incidentoccurred in Cairo's El Sayyeda Aisha area, very close to the famedhistoric site of Citadel, during which two women attackers werekilled in their exchange of fire with police, while they intendedto open fire on a tourist bus. Enditem
