Second attack takes place in Cairo

    CAIRO, April 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Egyptian Health Minister MohamedAwad Tag Eddin said Saturday that an exchange of fire between twowomen near Islamic Old Cairo left one of them dead and the otherwounded, the official MENA news agency reported.

    During a press conference at Kasr El-Aini hospital, the ministerdenied news reports that another explosion had hit the Cairodistrict.

    The incident occurred in Cairo's El Sayyeda Aisha area, veryclose to the famed historic site of Citadel, shortly after apowerful explosion hit downtown Cairo.

    Earlier reports said that two women were shot dead by policeafter they opened fire on a tourist bus.

    It came less than two hours after a powerful explosion hitdowntown Cairo, killing one person and wounding at least sevenincluding four foreigners.

    An Interior Ministry statement identified the man killed in theblast as Ehab Yousri Yassin, who set off the explosives he wascarrying and jumped from the Sixth of October bridge over AbdelMoneim Riyadh square while pursued by police.

    The blast took place near a bus station behind the EgyptianMuseum which is a famed tourist site.

    The man was wanted by police as a suspect in an April 7 bombattack targeting foreigners near a tourist bazaar in old Cairowhich killed four people including three foreigners, the statementadded. Enditem
