10 guardsmen killed in car bomb explosions in Baghdad

    BAGHDAD, April 29 (Xinhuanet) -- At least ten Iraqi police and National Guardsmen were killed and more than 30 others injured in a series of car bomb attacks in Baghdad on Friday, police said.

    One of the car bombs hit a restaurant crowded with police and National Guardsmen in the Athamiya district of Baghdad, police said.

    The latest attacks occurred just one day after the formation ofthe new Iraqi government. Enditem
