GAZA, April 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli army troops divided the Gaza Strip into two parts by closing down Abu Holi and Al Matahen checkpoints on Wednesday in response to attacks on an Israeli town, Palestinian security sources said.
The closure, aimed at blocking north-south movement of the Palestinians in Gaza, came after two homemade rockets landed near a factory in the southern Israeli town of Sederot.
Israeli radio quoted Israeli army sources as saying that militants fired Qassam rockets from the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun.
No militant group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.Enditem
