"Divergence" Premieres

    BEIJING, April 20 -- A new film, "Divergence", by director Benny Chan, premiered yesterday.

    Amongst the guests to attend the premiere were Aaron Kwok, Daniel Wu, Dior Cheng, Angelica Lee, Eric Tsang, Ning Jing, Gallen Law.

    The film has been scheduled for a May 1 "Golden Week" general release and will open simultaneously in Hong Kong, China and Southeast Asia.

    The film is based on a classic Beijing Opera. In the performance, three masters who are strangers to one another run into each other at an underworld shop. After a misunderstanding they begin to a fierce fight and a war of defense in the dark.
