this Sunday to mark the 60th anniversary of the camp's liberation in 1945
and remember the victims of the Holocaust.
| BERLIN, April 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Survivors of the Nazi concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen gathered Friday, marking the 60th anniversary of their liberation by British troops
Some 100,000 prisoners from 40 countries had died in the camp,
located 100 kilometers south of German city of Hamburg.
"You have to keep telling people about the horrors of the
Holocaust. It's the only way to make sure something like that never happens
again," US camp survivor Marion Blumenthal told German schoolchildren at the
site of the camp.

Blumenthalat later become an author and described in her book how
she, as a 10-year-old girl, and her family were freed from the camp. Parties of
young people from Israel and Eastern Europe also listened to her speech.
An official memorial ceremony will be held on Sunday when officials
from the state of Lower Saxony will attend the ceremony and talked with a group
of young people from nine countries.
Bergen-Belsen camp was liberated by British troops on April 15,1945.
