ISLAMABAD, April 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistan Wednesday described President Musharraf's upcoming visit to India very important and said he will discuss Kashmir issue with Indian leaders.

"In addition to witnessing the Cricket match, President Pervez Musharraf will hold important talks with Indian leaders on Kashmir issue and other political matters," Information Minister Sheikh Rashid told a news conference here on Wednesday.

"President Pervez Musharraf is going on an important visit to India on Saturday," Rashid said and added that besides holding a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Musharraf will also meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Opposition leaders.

Describing the visit as very important, Rashid said "It would prove a milestone in the future politics and relations between Pakistan and India."

"The international community and world media are focusing their attention on this visit," the minister said.

He said the President has already met Kashmiri leaders in Islamabad who have reposed their full confidence in his leadership.

"Kashmiris will have to be brought on board at a certain point of negotiations for the solution of Kashmir problem," he said.

Musharraf will pay a visit to New Delhi this Saturday to watch the series cricket match between Pakistan and India, during which he will also meet Indian leadership. Enditem
