www.chinaview.cn 2005-04-13 08:36:10

BEIJING, April 13 -- Representatives from the Indonesian Government and the separatist group Free Aceh Movement have met in Finnish capital Helsinki for a third round of peace talks.

The office of former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari, who presides over the talks, said this at a Tuesday press conference.

The Indonesian Government delegation, led by Justice Minister Hamid Awaluddin, and the Aech negotiation panel headed by separatist leader Malik Mahmud, started talks on Tuesday morning in a mansion near Helsinki.

The talks are scheduled to run through April 17.

Two rounds of talks were held in Helsinki in January and February this year but failed to achieve any results.
