ADDIS ABABA, April 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Security forces have defused two explosive devices, planted in a public bus in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, police said Saturday.

The explosive device was made with C4 explosive, the Ethiopian Federal Police Commission said in a press release.

One of the explosives was fitted under one of the seats of the bus and the other beside a seat in the bus that commuted between terminals at Kazzanchis and Merkato sub-cities on Friday.

Security forces reacted upon tip-offs they received from commuters at 8:30 pm (1730 GMT), and managed to prevent the bombs from exploding, it said.

Meanwhile, the commission said an explosive planted at a poultry shop in Addis Ababa's Bole sub-city, went off at 6:00 am (0300 GMT) on Saturday. There has been no casualties in the explosion, which left a crack on a wall, it said.

Police have launched extensive investigation into the incidents.Enditem
