April 6 -- The Regong Art, with its origin dated back to Yuan Dynasty, is an
important school of the Tibetan Buddhist Art.

| Zaxicairang (L) was teaching a prentice to
make Tangka. The Regong Art, with its origin dated back to Yuan Dynasty,
is an important school of the Tibetan Buddhist Art. The principal forms
include Tangka, fresco, sculpture, colored painting and ghee flowers. The
Regong Art derives its name from Regong ("golden valley" in Tibetan
language) of the Tongren County, Qinghai Province. Nowadays about 90
percent of households in the County are engaged in production of Regong
