Urgent: Zimbabwean ruling party wins parliamentary election

    HARARE, April 1 (Xinhuanet) -- President Robert Mugabe's ruling Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) has won over half of the 120 seats up for grab in parliamentary poll, beating main rival the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), according to official sources Friday evening.

    The seats won by ZANU-PF came mainly from rural areas, cutting the MDC's early gains, which came mostly from urban and peri-urbanareas. Enditem
