Danish author Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid" will be staged this Saturday at China Puppet Theatre in Beijing to mark the writer's 200th birthday.
Danish author Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid" will be staged this Saturday at China Puppet Theatre in Beijing to mark the writer's 200th birthday.

    "The Little Mermaid" is part of a series of shows featuring the world's best-known fairy tales by the Puppet Art Troupe of China.

    Orginally produced in 1998, the award winning puppet musical adopts an open stage setting and has real people perform together with the puppets.

    The puppet show will be staged every Saturday and Sunday morning until April 24th.
