Pakistan test-fires ballistic missile

    ISLAMABAD, March 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistan Thursday successfully test fired an indigenously developed short range surface to surface ballistic missile Hattaf-II or Abdali, according to a military statement.

    The missile is capable of reaching targets up to 180 km and cancarry all types of warheads, the statement said without mentioningthe place of the test.

    It added that all desired technical parameters were validated.

    As part of the usual confidence building measures, prior notification of the test had been given to all neighboring countries concerned, the statement said. Enditem
