BEIJING, Mar. 31 -- Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says he is looking forward to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's upcoming visit to India.

Speaking in Mauritius Singh said that he hopes China and India can agree on guiding principles for resolving the two countries' border issues.

The Indian Prime Minister said that the populations of China and India combined account for about one third of the world total and the establishment of friendly relations between the two countries will have a great impact on Asia and the world.

China's Foreign Ministry announced last Thursday that Premier Wen Jiabao will visit Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India from April 5th and attend the Foreign Minister's Meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue in Islamabad on April 6th.
