DAMASCUS, March 29 (Xinhuanet) -- The Damascus-based Internationa lFederation of Arab Trade Unions Tuesday urged Israel to stop its settlement process and the building of the separation wall. The General Secretariat of the federation made the call on the occasion of the Palestinian Land Day, Syria's official SANA news agency reported.

The federation called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in ending the Palestinians sufferings. The international society should compel Israel to withdraw from the occupied Arab lands in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon in order to achieve stability, peace and security in the region, it was quoted as saying.

The federation, meanwhile, hailed the Palestinians stead fastness in fighting against the Israelis, saying it hinders Israel's schemes and plots. Enditem
