BEIJING, Mar. 28 -- Hong Kong singer Joey Yung's single, "Tomorrow's Bestowment", will become the official school song of middle and elementary schools in Hong Kong.
The song "Tomorrow's Bestowment" is the theme song from Joey Yung's latest album, "Love Joey Love", and was recently chosen by head teachers of three schools in Hong Kong to replace their original school songs.
Part of the tune of "Tomorrow's Bestowment" is modeled afer John Newton's clasic "Amazing Grace", and its positive lyrics and encouraging meaning have been praised by teachers and students.
Taiwan singer Jay Chow's single "Snail" and Hong Kong singer Andy Lau's song "Chinese" were also promoted as patriotic songs to middle school students across China last week. Enditem
