    BEIJING, Mar. 28 -- Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu Hustle" and art-house director Wong Kar-wai's romance "2046" were the big winners at the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards.

    Chow's kung fu comedy, Hong Kong's highest grossing film ever, finished neck-and-neck with Wong's futuristic love epic, with both winning six gongs.

    "Kung Fu Hustle" was named best film at Sunday night's ceremony while "2046" swept the top acting honors.

    Former Cannes winner Tony Leung and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star Zhang Ziyi won the lead acting awards for their roles in "2046".

    Hong Kong's action hero Jackier Chan was presented with a professional spirit award.
