URGENT: Russia grants asylum to ousted Kyrgyz president

    MOSCOW, March 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Russia has granted asylum to Kyrgyzstan's ousted leader Askar Akayev, the Interfax news agency reported on Saturday.

    The report cited the Kremlin press service as saying Akayev hadrequested permission to come to Moscow, and the permission was granted. Enditem
