Portugal to host European judo championships in 2008

    LISBON, Mar. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Portugal will host the European Judo Championships in 2008, the Portuguese Judo Federation announced on Friday.

    The Federation said in a news release that the "big international event" will take place at the Park of Nations in Lisbon.

    The European Championships is the final qualifying tournament prior to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, according to the Portuguese Judo Federation. Enditem
