BEIJING, March. 24 -- Hong Kong'S pop music band Beyond will say goodbye to its music lovers at its concert May 27 in Beijing. After that last stop of their tour, the three members will begin solo careers.

The three singers did not show any sentimental feelings even though they are soon parting. They described the change as a new starting point for their future development.

"Since we got back together in 1999, we have found our music styles are beginning to differ greatly. We may disappoint our fans if the band continues, so we decided to part while we are still popular," said Beyond member Wing Yip.

The concert will be their farewell show and many people are predicting it will be very melancholy and nostalgic. However, Beyond gave the opposite answer: "We will try to create a very relaxing ambience for the music fans, allowing them to enjoy and remember it, not simply feel sad about it," said Yip.

As its name suggests, the concert Story of Beyond will feature a lot of storytelling weaved into the performance. Audience members will hear their classic favorites and be reminded of all the good times they had with the band.

A memorial to the band¡¯s former member Coma Wong, who died in an on-stage accident at a concert many years ago, will also be a part of the show.

¡°We will broadcast some previous recordings of Wong for the fans to remember him. The recordings are about his understanding toward life and comments on pop music,¡± said Paul Wong.

China's famous rock-and-roll band Black Leopard was invited to be a guest performer at the concert. "We are old friends and they also once came to Hong Kong to perform with us," said Yip.
