Kyrgyz leader sacks interior minister, prosecutor

    ALMA ATA, March 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev on Wednesday ordered to sack his interior minister and the general prosecutor, reports from Bishkek said.

    Akayev, who gave no reasons for the sacking in his decrees, has rejected opposition demands to step down or cancel the results of a parliamentary election disputed by the opposition. Enditem
