    BEIJING, March 21 (Xinhuanet) -- China's State Council has appointed Yang Jiechi as vice minister of Foreign Affairs. He is to replace Zhou Wenzhong who is removed from the post.

    Yang Jiechi began to serve as China's  Ambassador to the United States four years ago when Li Zhaoxing, the then envoy, was named the foreign minister.  Enditem
