    BEIJING, March.21 -- Hong Kong star Alex Fong was awarded Best Actor and Taiwan singer and actress Rene Liu crowned Best Actress at the fifth Chinese Film Media Awards opened last night in southern China's Guangzhou city.

    Chinese fifth generation director Tian Zhuang-zhuang won the Best Director for his film 'Delamu'£¬which also won Best Picture at the annual award.

    Andy Lau, the male lead in Feng Xiao-gang's mega-hit 'A World without Thieves' won the title of 'The Ambassador of Chinese Film'.

    Many award winning director Feng Xiao-gang was also given a special award for Special Contributions to the Chinese Movie Industry.

    The Chinese Film Media Awards are the only film awards recognizing all Chinese language films.
