NEW DELHI, March 18 (Xinhuanet) -- One student was
killed and six others injured when a bomb exploded inside a government high
school in Indian administered north Kashmir's Baramulla district Friday,
Indo-Asian News Service reported Friday.
A police official said an explosive device went off
at the school at Nadihal near Bandipore in the Baramulla district, 52 km from
Srinagar, killing a student on the spot.
"Six other students were injured and immediately
taken to the Bandipore sub-district hospital for treatment," local officer said.
Five seriously injured students were referred to
Srinagar hospitals for specialized treatment, he added.
The explosion triggered panic with students crying
for help andrunning for cover. No one has claimed responsibility for the blast.
