Annan to submit UN reform report

    BEIJING, March. 17 -- The United Nations says its Secretary General, Kofi Annan, will submit a UN reform report to the 59th session of the General Assembly next week.

    UN chief spokesman, Fred Eckhard, says that Annan will put forward a series of proposals concerning security and development and president of the General Assembly, Jean Ping, will also deliver a speech on UN reform.

    He says the report will be reviewed by a UN summit this September. Enditem
