TIRANA, March 14 (Xinhuanet) -- The Hague-based war crimes tribunal has indicted former Macedonian Interior Minister Ljube Boskovski for war crimes committed during conflict between ethnicAlbanians and Macedonians in 2001, the Macedonian Justice Ministrysaid Monday.

According to the local reports, Macedonian police and army troops conducted an operation at Ljuboten, a village on the outskirts of the capital, Skopje, in Aug. 2001. Ethnic Albanians alleged 10 civilians were killed in the operation.

The indictment of the International Criminal Tribunal has not been made public yet, sources of the Macedonian Justice Ministry said, adding that UN investigators have questioned about 120 former state officials regarding the Ljuboten case.
