BANGKOK, March 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej on Monday evening inaugurated the new cabinet formed after February's general elections.

The newly-formed cabinet should always bear the people's benefits in minds and work hard to improve the people's life, said the King in a brief ceremony.

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and all 35 members of the cabinet attended the ceremony held at the Klai Kung Won Palace at beach town Hua Hin, some 232 km south of Bangkok.

Winning a landslide victory in February's election, the Thai Rak Thai Party led by Thaksin, has secured a second term of four years to govern the kingdom.

At a weekend meeting aimed to work out policy focus in the second term, Thaksin and his cabinet vowed to attract more foreign investment to push forward the country's economic development.

During the first term, the Thaksin cabinet successfully led Thailand out of the shadow of financial crisis.

The kingdom maintained robust economic growth rates in the past two years, 6.7 percent and 6.1 percent respectively. Enditem
