    SEOUL, March 10 (Xinhuanet) -- US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit South Korea next week, according to South Korean Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

    Rice will have a trip here on March 19-20 to meet her South Korean counterpart Ban Ki-moon, for talks on the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, said in a press release of the ministry.

    She will also pay a courtesy call on President Roh Moo-hyun andhold meeting with Unification Minister Chung Dong-young on March 20, the release said.

    Earlier in the day, the US State Department also announced Ricewill have the Asian tour from March 14 to March 21 that includes stops in India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea and China. Enditem
