WASHINGTON, March 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Former US president Bill Clinton will return to hospital to have a medical procedure Thursday related with his heart surgery last September, his office said Tuesday.

Clinton, who served as US president 1993-2001 and underwent quadruple bypass surgery on Sept. 6 in New York after suffering chest pains and shortness of breath, will undergo a medical procedure to remove fluid and scar tissue from his left chest, his office in New York said in a statement.

Clinton, 58, will remain in hospital for three to 10 days afterthe operation.

The former president and George H.W. Bush, another former president, who have led a public relations campaign to help raise funds for the victims of the tsunami in Southwest Asia, are scheduled for a meeting with President George W. Bush at the White House Tuesday afternoon.
