ROME, March 7 (Xinhuanet) -- A bomb exploded in front of the courthouse in a coastal town near the Italian capital Rome early Monday causing considerable damage but no casualties, Italian newsagency ANSA reported.
The bomb went off at 04:00 a.m. local time, tearing through themain entrance of the court building in Ostia. The explosion caused part of the front wall to collapse and shattered windows in surrounding buildings.
The blast follows four explosions last week near police stations in Genoa and Milan. Although no injuries were reported, Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisanu said they were "designed to kill."
A group calling itself the Informal Federation of Anarchists has claimed responsibility for Genoa and Milan bombs. Enditem |
