www.chinaview.cn 2005-03-06 17:31:05

BEIJING, Mar. 6 -- Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing says China's foreign policy and diplomacy are aimed at promoting peace, prosperity and cooperation in the world, which serve both the Chinese people and people around the world.

Li Zhaoxing told a press conference in Beijing that China stands for peaceful resolution of international disputes, and it has played an active part in the settlement of regional hot-spot issues.

The minister says China will continue to work with the international community to bring about a world with fewer conflicts and more peace, less poverty and more prosperity, and fewer troubles and more cooperation.

The minister has also answered questions from foreign and domestic reporters on the six-party nuclear talks, Sino-Japanese, Sino-US, Sino-Russian and Sino-ASEAN relations.
