Rice to visit India

    NEW DELHI, March 4 (Xinhuanet) -- US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will pay a one-day visit to India on March 16, her first since taking over the post in the second Bush administration, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported Friday.

    During her stay, Rice will discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relations, regional developments and other global issuesof mutual interest with the Indian leadership, an external affairsministry spokesman was quoted as saying.

    India-US relations have undergone a major transformation in recent years. They have become much friendlier as a result of increasing cooperation and consultation between each other. Enditem
