At least six killed in Baghdad suicide car bomb

    BAGHDAD, March 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A suicide car bomb exploded outside an Iraqi army base in Baghdad Wednesday, killing at least six people and injuring more than 20 others, an Interior Ministry official said.

    The blast targeted people who were lining up for army recruits,witnesses said.

    The incident occurred outside the army base where was previously an airport. The base has been targeted by insurgents several times last year. In June, 35 people were killed in a car bomb blast outside the base.
