Iran rejects military base inspection
www.chinaview.cn 2005-03-02 10:50:50

BEIJING, Mar. 2 -- Iran has reportedly rejected a request by UN nuclear inspectors to return to its Parchin military base.

According to officials with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran says there is no need for a re-visit after UN inspectors were permitted to visit the base in January.

But the inspectors still want to investigate an area in the base not included in the January visit.

Iran's delegation to the ongoing IAEA meeting in Vienna says the fact that inspectors were allowed access to a secure military complex like Parchin has demonstrated the country's sincerity.
