Britain vows to help Iraq hunt down car bombers
www.chinaview.cn 2005-02-28 23:21:49

LONDON, Feb. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Monday Britain would help the Iraqi government hunt down those responsible for a suicide attack in Iraq that killed more than 100 people wounded 200 others.

"We are determined to help the Iraqi government and security forces bring these terrorists to justice," Blair said in a statement.

"All civilized people should feel nothing but revulsion for terrorists who can kill innocent Iraqis who only want to help build a new democracy and a better society," he said.

The blast occurred on Monday at about 0630 GMT when a suicide bomber exploded a car bomb near a queue of people seeking government jobs in Hilla, about 100 kilometers south of Baghdad.

It was the deadliest single attack in Iraq since the United States declared in May 2003 that the Iraq war was over. Enditem
