"The Aviator," an epic depiction of US billionaire Howard Hughes' eccentric life, won 2 golden globes and 11 Oscar nominations this January.     Moreover, it won an Oscar for film editing, marking the film's fourth win of the evening. And it's the second Academy Award for Thelma Schoonmaker, whose first win came for "Raging Bull."
