China's CPPCC to begin annual session on March 3

     BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- The Third Session of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, will begin its annual session on March 3.

    The decision was made here Saturday at the eighth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th National Committee of the CPPCC,presided over by Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Jia Qinglin.

    The meeting proposed that major items of agenda for the coming annual session include hearing and deliberating a report on the work of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee anda report on how the Standing Committee handled proposals set forthby CPPCC National Committee members since the previous session, attending the Third Session of the 10th National People's Congressas non-voting participants and hearing and discussing a report on the work of the government and other reports.
